To prepare for the November elections, the October meeting focused on accessible voting. What accessibility should people who are blind or who have low vision expect when voting, in-person or absentee? And, what changes are happening regarding voting laws and procedures in
Virginia? The right to vote privately and independently is one of ACBVA’s most fundamental advocacy initiatives.
Rachel Loria, a senior advocate at the Disability Law Center of Virginia (DLCV), addressed these and other questions at the ACBVA virtual meeting on Monday, October 9. A copy of her presentation can be found at: ACBVA Presentation on Voting October 2023 (MS Word download)
