Cindy, president of CAGDU (Capital Area Guide Dog Users), joined us with her second guide dog, a charming black lab named Mr. Goodman.
Cindy and Mr. Goodman have tackled everything from conventions and cruises to the Polar Bear Swim! And if that’s not impressive enough, one of Mr. Goodman’s puppies has daughters who attended Harvard—and yes, he even spent a semester there himself!
Cindy talked about whether a dog is right for you, What to do around a guide dog, what to say or not to say to the dog, etc. She also discussed how to handle challenging situations that occur, with emphasis on some of the ride share issues guide dog owners encounter.
This engaging session was filled with heartwarming stories, helpful insights, and a few laughs along the way.
