On January 12, 2026, ACBVA held its monthly program focused on our advocacy
efforts in Richmond. We held a lively discussion of our initiatives
including electronic return of absentee ballots, the operation of autonomous
vehicles in Virginia, and the need for more accessible pedestrian signals.
We also discussed our plans for our trip to Richmond, which took place on
January 22, 2026. Fifteen ACBVA members and sighted allies went on the trip
to meet with state delegates, state senators, and their staff. We were
joined by members of the Blinded Veterans Association.
To get involved in our advocacy efforts, please contact RoseAnn Ashby at
roseann@acbva.org or 703-403-0226. At this time of year in particular, we
have to respond quickly as bills are introduced and discussed in the
Virginia General Assembly.
